The main job responsibilities will be:
● Support the design, development, and analysis of hardware schematics, Bill of Materials and layouts of target hardware
● Understand Stellantis Domain team requirements, project milestones, technology relevance
● Prepares of engineering and release related reports for project review
● Utilize engineering disciplines, including Electrical Engineering Process Management, DFSS, DFMEA, DFM/DFA, and WCA to develop robust design solutions
● Ensures hardware prototypes are validated and available for key pre-production vehicle build milestones
● Conduct HW/SW design reviews on target ECUs
Work closely with core hardware design engineers and cross-functional teams to execute and validate complex components.
Basic Qualifications
● Bachelors of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent program
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronic hardware development
● Strong teamwork, and excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently
● Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, electronic loads, and signal generators.
● Familiar with Automotive industry standards for electronics, design factors of safety, and product verification is desired
Preferred Qualifications
● Knowledge of applicable safety standards including ISO 26262, Euro NCAP, and other regulations, industry benchmarks and customer requirements
● Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Belt certification
● Solid understanding of system/component design
● Familiar with vehicle bus: ETH/CAN FD/LIN/LVDS communication protocols and troubleshooting tools
● Experience in root cause and DFSS techniques (is-is not, 5-why, DMAIC, 8D, 5-penny, fishbone/fault-tree analysis)
● Experience using Vector tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) or similar
