Job description
• Lead the design and development of space systems and subsystems, utilizing MATLAB/Simulink for system simulations and model-based development to ensure robust and efficient performance
• Conduct feasibility studies and perform detailed system analyses to support decision-making and project planning
• Collaborate in project management activities, including project planning, design reviews, and technical meetings, ensuring alignment with project milestones and objectives
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications, reports, and design updates, while tracking changes in requirements using DOORS for effective requirements management and traceability
• Develop risk assessments and mitigation strategies to enhance the reliability, safety, and resilience of space systems and components
• Act as a technical liaison with external partners, stakeholders, and interdisciplinary teams, leading discussions, facilitating negotiations, and ensuring successful communication and coordination across teams

Profile
- Educational Background: Master's or Engineering degree in Space Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field
- Experience: Over 6 years of hands-on experience in the space industry, with a strong track record of working on space systems design and development
- Technical Expertise:
- Proficient in tools and technologies for Electronic, Telecommunication, Navigation, MBSE (Model-Based Systems Engineering), as well as Test and Verification processes
- Strong knowledge of software development tools such as C/C++ and Python, and hardware description languages like VHDL/Verilog for FPGA development
- Experience with project management and tracking tools like JIRA, Confluence, and version control systems like Git or similar
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to multidisciplinary teams
- Team & Intercultural Skills: Demonstrated experience working within and leading multinational teams, with strong intercultural competency to foster collaboration in diverse environments
- Language Proficiency: Fluent in English (minimum C1 level) and German (minimum B2 level
